about
Recorded in early January of 2014 while staying at a friend's cabin in the hills above Santa Barbara, CA.
The tune came about with a bottle of Jim Beam and lots of time spent in the wee hours of the morning while the wind howled up the canyon. It should be noted that this is an early take on the song, which since has become a vehicle for many lengthy jams during my time spent in Pacific Haze.
Enjoy!
lyrics
Well I know, that I’m not the kind you been lookin for
And I know too well, that I am rusted and poor
So lady, can’t you be kind, sweet child wont you be mine
Oh, gravity, don’t let em bury me
Come into the light, I see no wrong
Walk with me, together we can sing a song
Trying so hard, I’m hung upside down, come now receive me, don’t put me down
Oh, gravity...
Though my coals are burning bright
You won’t stay through the night
Got my heart up on your throne
But I never get your bone
Still I try, try, try…
What a fool I’ve been, reel me out, reel me in
If it’s a tool that you need, then I’ve been fooled indeed
I’ve been here, before and then again
It’s all the same game, but that fact is wearing thin
If it’s time that you need me, why then don’t you feel free
Oh, gravity, don’t let em bury me…

I am not directly involved with these boys, but they're what I would consider a brother band, so give em a listen! Psychedelic funky jams with heavy sometimes bluesy rock'n'roll riffs Zach Doiron
